Static billboards are so 1980. It’s not enough to just display a picture and hope it captures people’s attention.

Today’s advertisers have gone high-tech to ensure their messages are being seen and remembered, making the digital signage market ripe with opportunity for commercial integrators.

Companies have become more creative and found ways to get people to interact with the digital advertising campaigns. From playing games with cell phones to using the web, digital signage has taken advertising to a new level.

Employing digital signage and interactive campaigns aren’t just for the mega-wealthy corporations. Santa Monica, California, for example, recently made way for digital signage on buses - a move designed to help keep rider costs down.
