Barix Set to Demonstrate Full SoundScape Audio Package at ISE

Approximately a year ago Barix announced its SoundScape product. This year the Swiss company will launch its entire SoundScape audio solution at ISE.

Just about a year ago, the Zurich, Switzerland-based manufacturer Barix announced its SoundScape audio distribution solution.

This year the company is taking the next step by launching a complete series of SoundScape solutions. Barix is demonstrating it at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe Show (ISE) in Amsterdam this February.

Barix says the full solution features cloud-based content management, live status monitoring through the company’s SoundScape portal, and its new small-footprint, multi-format Exstreamer SoundScape IP audio players for location-based “media playout.”

The Swiss company states the solution is an “in-store radio” system that is capable of providing integrated audio distribution, remote device management, contact scheduling, system monitoring, and multi-format audio playback capabilities with the ability to deliver targeted ad insertion.

Through the introduction of the complete Linux-based audio solution, users can navigate menus, skip songs, and change audio settings, as well as network settings, without having to connect to a central web-based SoundScape interface.

Additionally, the company states its Exstreamer SoundScape players provide users enough internal memory and network resources to facilitate live streaming. The products also feature built-in, real-time clocks to ensure the players stream local content in scenarios in which a network is down.

ISE takes place on Feb. 10-12 and Barix will be exhibiting at booth location Hall 8, M-245 during the show.
