BenQ Broadens M6 Series With New MW665 Projector

The latest projector from BenQ — the new MW665 — is said to produce up to 3,200 ANSI lumens of brightness, and contrast ratios as high as 13,000:1.

BenQ is one of the most popular manufacturers in the world and not too long ago it updated its M6 Series of products with the addition of the MW665 projector.

The Skinny: According to this global video manufacturer, the reasonably priced projector is designed to provide users with a high-brightness, high-contrast video solution that can be installed into any number of room environments.

The Specs: The WXGA resolution (1,280×800) projector incorporates BenQ’s Colorific technology that is said to help deliver more than one billion colors to support accurate image reproduction, and as much as 3,200 ANSI lumens of brightness.

“The MW665 makes the most of any BYOD [bring your own display] scenario by facilitating the delivery of content in any setting,” says Bob Wudeck, associate vice president, strategy and business development at BenQ America Corp. “This new projector offers easy installation and setup, provides remote maintenance and monitoring functions, and, with BenQ’s Colorific and SmartEco technologies, delivers high performance and energy savings throughout the product’s lifecycle.”

The projector also delivers contrast ratios up to 13,000:1, and features such as wireless connectivity, LAN display and control, and 3D content support. BenQ points out the MW665 also provides control options for AMX, Crestron and PJLink systems, and USB and Office Viewer to support presentations when computers are not available.

Other options include SmartEco, which adjusts lamp power by as much as 70 percent to extend lamp life up to 10,000 hours, and inputs such as HDMI, D-sub, USB, miniUSB and RJ-45.

Solutions: BenQ says the M6 Series MW665 can be used for house of worship, classroom and boardroom installations.
