Blonder Tongue Introduces New HD Encoders Supporting Dolby Digital

Blonder Tongue is an Old Bridge, N.J.-based manufacturer of video distribution products for the commercial market.

Adding to its selection of encoding solutions, the Garden State manufacturer announced its new HDE-CSV-QAM and HDE-CHV-QAM MPEG-2 HD encoders.

The company explains the HD encoders are designed to support a variety of input options, and they are capable of delivering quality video over IP or RF networks.

Blonder Tongue notes the products the are compatible with HDMI, VGA and composite sources, and provide QAM, ASI and IP outputs.

In addition, Blonder Tongue says the products are easy to install through the inclusion of a Web-based interface that is designed to streamline control and monitoring.

The N.J.-based manufacturer also explains the products support Dolby Digital audio content, closed captioning (EIA-608) and user-defined PSIP configurations.
