DPI, Delta, Mersive Embark on Educational Tour
Six-city tour will focus on the full spectrum of projection and direct view display technologies.

With the goal of “expanding people’s minds and educating them on what’s possible,” Digital Projection International, Delta Group and Mersive will embark on a six-city road show.

The “Displays At Your Doorstep” tour combines DPI’s high-performance projection systems with Delta’s display solutions and Mersive’s visual computing software for a unique experience that attendees have likely never seen as part of one show, with DLP-based high-lumen projectors, LED video walls and video cube arrays among the pieces on display.

This is the first show of its kind for DPI in about six years, says director of marketing Michael Bridwell.

The following cities and dates have been confirmed:

  • New York City on Oct. 11 and 12
  • Orlando on Oct. 18 and 19
  • Washington, D.C., on Oct. 25 and 26
  • Atlanta on Nov. 2 and 3
  • Dallas on Nov. 9 and 10
  • Los Angeles on Nov. 15 and 16

More stops could are expected to added.

“We’ve been growing and growing, so we finally have the resources to do this,” Bridwell says, noting the DPI staff has expanded by about 20 percent in the past year. “This is an opportunity not only to attract new dealers, but also to educate and re-instill confidence in our established dealers about our capabilities.”

Seeing Is Believing

Bridwell expects the half-dozen or so products DPI launched at InfoComm 2011 to be prominently featured at each stop on the tour. There is no charge to attend, he says, and he hopes the low-pressure environment will help attendees maximize their experiences.

“We didn’t want people who couldn’t make it to InfoComm or CEDIA to have to wait to see us once or twice a year,” Bridwell says. “We’re focusing heavily on the education side of offering these advanced displays and we think people will learn a lot and enjoy themselves too.”

DPI will present medium- to large-venue projection systems from its single and three-chip DLP lineup. Also included will be the 16,000 lumen, warp- and blend-enabled TITAN Quad 3D, recently acknowledged at InfoComm 2011 by Commercial Integrator with a Best New Projector award, and the 8,000-lumen warp and blend-enabled HIGHlite Cine 660, among other products.

Delta’s business unit includes everything from video processing products to versatile LCD, LED, edge matched and rear-projection display solutions. Mersive will demonstrate its patented Sol software, which corrects geometric misalignment and intensity balancing while also providing exceptional image quality by minimizing re-sampling artifacts.

The full schedule with venue locations and a comprehensive product list will be available by mid-September. For more information, contact Sean Milstead at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
