As AV content becomes more sophisticated, the need for powerful and versatile hardware solutions to manage this content grows more important.
The Skinny: Adding to its line of signal transmission solutions, the Ga.-based manufacturer DVIGear has announced its new HDMI and DVI TPS Extender products.
The Specs: DVIGear developed the line of products to be able to reliably transmit 4K video signals distances as far as 250 feet, and 1080p signals up to 600 feet over a single Ethernet cable. The line offer a choice between DVI and HDMI products, and the solutions are designed to handle a variety of AV signals as well as control signals that include RS-232, IR and IP.
Dealers can install the products with power options that include remote with power coming from either the transmitter or receiver. Or, the products can be powered through the company’s MXP Series of digital matrix routing switchers.
Solutions: DVIGear’s new line of HDMI and DVI TPS Extenders can be used in commercial installs such as digital signage and in residential installations.
