Evolution Series AV Flat Screen Wall Box Provides Easy Installation and Use

Published: 2014-10-14

Legrand offers an in-wall device box to provide power, communications and audio/video to wall-mounted flat screen TVs.

The Evolution Series Flat Screen Wall Box is available in 4-gang and 2-gang options that offer complete flexibility for any combination of connectivity devices. This box supports digital displays in conference and meeting rooms and training facilities in commercial offices, as well as education, medical, and other institutions.

The Evolution Series Flat Screen Wall Box features unique removable device modules that support industry-standard device plates that can be detached and removed for easier installation by multiple trades and to facilitate moves, adds and changes as services do not need to be entirely disconnected and reconnected. The 4-gang box holds two device modules. The 2-gang version has one module with storage space for active A/V components. All modules have a removable divider for separation of power and low-voltage service.

FEATURED REPORT

“Legrand developed this new box to meet the growing use of flat screens for multiple purposes, including digital signage,” said Michael Cole, Legrand Product Marketing Manager. “This box supports the full range of communications, while also keeping the screen as close as possible to the wall, which is a major customer concern.”

The Evolution Series Flat Screen Wall Box installs in steel and wood stud walls in new construction or retrofit projects. Conduits knock-outs from ¾” to 2” and 3 ½” of space behind the device plates make installation easier and faster. Integral tunnels on both sides of the device modules enable wire and cable to pass through. The interior of the box is painted white for improved visibility.
