GefenPRO 8x8 Matrix for HDMI
The HDCP-compliant GefenPro 8x8 Matrix for HDMI transmits HD video more than 300 feet and includes FST technology to improve switching time between sources.

Efficiency can be defined in many ways. But in the world of electronics, efficiency is associated with cost effectiveness.

The Skinny: The GefenPRO division of Gefen has introduced an efficient product for CIs, the GefenPRO 8x8 Matrix for HDMI. It includes a ton of features in a single box to perform a number of functions.

The Specs: The 8x8 Matrix features Gefen’s Extra Long Range (ELR) technology, as well as bi-directional IR extension switches. Gefen says all eight of the outputs can be extended to deliver HDMI signals up to 330 feet (100 meters).

The switcher’s HDBaseT-based extension capabilities work with 1080p, 3D and multichannel surround sound. GefenPRO adds the unit’s receiver devices provide a small footprint and are wall mountable to hide the receivers behind video displays.

The 8x8 matrix switch also includes Gefen’s Fast Switching Technology (FST), which it says improves the time it takes to switch between HDCP-compliant devices. The switch also offers RS-232, IR and IP control options.

Solutions: The GefenPRO can be used for a variety of video distribution needs.
