InfoComm International has announced Sean Lessman, Polycom‘s CTO for Global Public Sector, will deliver the keynote address at GovComm 2011, which takes places Nov. 1-2 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.

The keynote, which is scheduled for Nov. 1 at 9 A.M. EST, will address Unified Communications for the Public Sector: Collaboration Through Open Standards before more than 1,500 technology professionals from the government, military and the contracting community.

Lessman, a 16-year veteran of the video and collaboration industry, will discuss government collaboration needs, such as interoperability, mobility, forward and backward compatibility, protocol agnosticism, scalability and security issues.

“The public sector relies on collaborative technologies for critical communication and decision making and we are pleased that Polycom is willing to share the company’s vision on unified communications and video collaboration with GovComm attendees,” says Randal A.
