Highlights from Chief’s InfoComm 2016 Booth

Published: 2016-07-05

Headquartered in the entrance area of Hall C at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Chief Mounts was a part of the Milestone AV booth, its parent company.

There were two main developments Chief was putting on display during the show. The first was a unique take on the adjustable mount. Chief’s Height Adjustable Display Mounts allows users to raise and lower the display with “a touch of the finger.” They do this by using weights and springs to adjust the height.

Those in the theater space will recognize that as a form of a counter-weight system. The new adjustable mounts can be mounted to the wall directly, encased in a mobile cart version, or a floor stand skew.

The second move forward was Chief’s new Fusion Modular Mounts. Think of it as one skew that encapsulates the freedom to configure any sort of video wall from mount up. The creativity begins with the designer and what they need to accomplish to meet the client’s needs. Then it moves to the Fusion Multi-Display Configurator.

FEATURED REPORT

This is a web interface on Milestone’s website that provides the tools to configure whatever display installation you need. The site is built to be mobile accessible so that you can order while onsite or in the office. A direct link to the tool can be found here.

The height adjustable mounts are a great thing for education, whether K-12 or higher education. It gives you the ability to install displays once and still be in compliance with ADA regulations. The Fusion Modular Tool is a unique idea to give integrators the ability to have one place to go for their mounting needs.

There are few things as frustrating when designing a mounting system and realizing once you are onsite that you forgot to order a bolt or flange. Take a look at either Chief’s website or Milestone AV for more information.
