How Herman Pocket Engineer Can Catalyze Cash Flow

Published: 2014-06-18

Fill in the blank: My company could make more money if …

That’s essentially what Chris Bianchet, president of Herman Integration Services, asked integrators when he was trying to figure out how the staffing division of distributor Herman ProAV can do more to help its partners.

Bianchet learned that many integration firms would like to be more efficient when it comes to generating quotes for prospective customers. “I heard it from a lot of companies.”
So Herman developed Herman Pocket Engineer, an app that it’s announcing at InfoComm 2014, June 18-20 in Las Vegas.

The app is designed to facilitate a project needs analysis, Bianchet says. “It gives them the ability to have an engineer in their pocket.”

The time Herman Pocket Engineer can save an integration firm can prove invaluable, according to Bianchet. The app is designed to help integrators turn around a proposal in 72 hours. “I talked to a company that says it takes two weeks to get a proposal out the door.”

While he predicts Herman Pocket Engineer will especially help small- to mid-sized integration companies, Bianchet says it’s a useful tool for any firm. “Anything that helps get proposals out quicker gets cash flowing.”

Herman ProAV and Herman Integration Services will be talking about Herman Pocket Engineer and showing deliverables during InfoComm 2014, booth C9147. The app is slated to be ready in September 2014.
