InfoComm 2016 Must See: KanexPro’s New FLEX-MMX Series Switchers

Published: 2016-06-07

KanexPro will unveil its new Flexible Modular Matrix Switcher, as well as its 4K HDBaseT KVM Extender, at booth #C4833 of this year’s InfoComm show.

Kashyap Khetia, product development and marketing manager for KanexPro took the time to talk to CI about what the company has planned for integrators visiting its booth at InfoComm 2016, June 8-10 in Las Vegas.

If we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm 2016 booth, what should it be?

If you only have time to check out one product at our booth, you can’t leave without seeing the Flexible Modular Matrix Switcher. The new FLEX-MMX allows system designers to create a flexible matrix system based on project requirements from 11×1 to 31×1 input and output combinations with zero latency thru zero-transfer switching.

FEATURED REPORT

Ideal for applications that require true 4K while providing accurate and seamless switching and with easy to control user interfaces, the FLEX-MMX brings both versatility and value to integrators. No additional programming is needed, users simply just connect and switch.

With Power over Cable (PoC) supported by HDBaseT input and outputs cards with 4K/60 up to 230 feet, the FLEX-MMX is the perfect tool for hospitality, command and control centers and large AV conference rooms that require up-to-the-second viewing of critical information and high-resolution graphics.

The FLEX-MMX series switchers can be controlled using a built-in GUI web interface to provide easy set-up, protected login, custom labeling and simple user interface for switching and controlling. With VGA, DVI, SDI, HDMI and HDBaseT card compatibility, integrated EDID and HDCP 2.2 and built-in web based GUI for quick access to control via network, the FLEX-MMX is flawless for integrators looking for a versatile, feature-rich matrix switcher.

Ok….What if we have time to see one more thing?

We hope InfoComm attendees have time to check out all of the new technology from KanexPro, but if you only have time to see one more thing we want integrators to check out the 4K HDBaseT KVM Extender.

The new Extender is ideal for digital signage applications where high resolution video, audio, USB KVM function and data with diagnostics can be sent back to the computer from the QSR display or vice versa. For users, a KVM extender can keep their work areas quieter and cooler allowing more focus and productivity.

In addition, the KanexPro KVM Extender allows 4K transmission and extension over cost effective CATx cabling sending uncompressed video, audio, control, power over HDBaseT and USB for controlling your keyboard, mouse and other USB HID devices.

The KanexPro 4K HDBaseT KVM Extender consists of a transmitter and receiver that are used to extend USB and 4K UHD AV up to 150 meters over HDBaseT. The USB KVM function supports USB 2.0 with display resolutions to 4K x 2K@30Hz and 60Hz and will also support 1080p HD and WUXGA. It is HDCP 2.2 compliant with CEC pass-through, supports the latest HDMI 2.0 specifications with Dolby Digital, DTS and DTS-HD audio formats.

What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm 2016 booth?
