InFocus Names Mark Housley CEO

He’ll remain on board along with new role as he helps position company for growth in 2016 with more employees, new products.

InFocus Corporation‘s board of directors has named one of its own, Mark Housley, as its new CEO, effective immediately. The announcement comes in conjunction with a move to expand InFocus’ worldwide team and its product lineup with an eye on 2016 growth.

As a nine-year board member, Housley “will support and aid the company as it emerges into new markets and continues building upon its proven line of core products,” according to InFocus’ announcement. “Housley’s leadership experience and vision for collaboration technology will help further establish the company’s dominance in the market.”

Housley served as CEO of several industry-leading companies, including Vigilent, Radius and Glimmerglass and served on the board of directors at Portrait Displays and Apton Biosystems. He was also part of the leadership teams at IBM, Media 100, Siemens and was on the founding team of Splash Technology and Silicon Wireless.

Housley’s arrival comes as InFocus is expanding its global team and product lines to match current and projected growth in 2016. The growth will come from global expansion of the brand in new regions as well as the addition of convergent product lines providing additional reach for both current and future products created with strategic partners, such as Foxconn, according to the announcement.

Housley has served on InFocus’ board since 2009 and will continue to hold his board seat while also serving as CEO. Raymond Yu, who has been serving as interim CEO, will retain his role as InFocus president.

“InFocus is in a unique position where, since becoming privately held, it’s had the opportunity to observe the dynamic collaboration technology market and, through some rebuilding years, invest in research and development to create a formidable product lineup and future roadmap that will change the way people connect across the table and around the world,” said Housley in the announcement. “We have invested in every area of our business to ensure that we offer our customers the very best products and services that empower and enhance collaboration.”
