Obviously, security is serious business, especially when it comes to protecting your retail store from shoplifters during the holiday season. But that doesn’t mean dealers can’t have a little fun with sharing that message.
Vector Security, Inc. of Pittsburgh sent out a pair of minute-long clips leading up to Halloween, a milestone that means the holiday shopping season is around the corner and that retailers must be on their highest security alert, says Dave Merrick, marketing director at Vector.
The first video went to thousands of email recipients, warning them about the need to protect against The Ghost of Shoplifters Yet To Come:
Vector also sent a second video to 45 retailers it hopes to add as clients, along with a package of Halloween-related treats they can only open after calling Vector. Close to half of the recipients have called to help unlock the secrets:
“People thought it was pretty creative,” Merrick says. “It’s been a good way for us to get some buzz.”
