KanexPro HDBaseT Long Runner with PoE
The company's latest signal transmission device can send 1080p 60Hz signals up to 330 feet.

The KanexPro can be used for a number of applications including commercial digital signage.

Signal management can be a dicey proposition with standards seemingly always changing.

The Skinny: The HDMI technology HDBaseT has over the past several months become increasingly viable for professional electronics technicians that are in the field dealing with long-distance signal transmission issues.

The Specs: KanexPro is a Brea, California-based manufacturer and its latest product is the HDBaseT Long Runner with Power over Ethernet (PoE). The long-distance signal transmission solution is said to have the ability to deliver 1080p 60Hz signals distances up to 330 feet. KanexPro says the product also supports 3D video, HDCP and 4Kx2K resolutions, which is four times the resolution of 1080p. In addition, the Long Runner with PoE eliminates excessive power usage by providing power to the receiver unit and it carries IR control.

Solutions: The device can be used in commercial environments that include boardrooms and restaurants and in residential settings, such as whole-house A/V installations.
