Utilizing a Decora design, the WP-577VH Wall Plate Switcher from Kramer provides electronics professionals with a stylish way to deliver connection flexibility to their clients.

Integrating electronics into an interior space is always a challenge of aesthetics.

The Skinny: Stepping up to take on this challenge is Kramer Electronics, through the launch of its new WP-577VH Wall Plate Switcher, which is designed to neatly integrate into a variety of interior locations.

The Specs: The two-gang, Decora style WP-577VH incorporates HDMI, VGA and stereo audio with support for RS-232 control and data. Kramer says it engineered the product to automatically switch to the last input selected when activated, and it transmits signals to compatible DGKat twisted pair receivers such as its TP-578H.

Kramer says it designed the product to be easy to install and set up through features such as its optional remote power over CATx cable (Power Connect Plus), and its K-Link compatibility provides flexibility to RS-232 for either control of remote devices to be controlled by Kramer Protocol 3000 or to send data to remote external RS-232 devices.

The Clinton, N.J.-based company adds that through its inclusion of the DGKat technology, the product can transmit 1080p at 60fps up to 230 feet, and because of its connection options and switching capabilities, the wall plate supports a variety of source components.

Solutions:Kramer says the WP-577VH can be used in environments such as boardrooms, hotel rooms and hospitality venues.
