In what is claimed to be the world’s biggest interactive multitouch installation, Queensland University of Technology’s digital interactive learning exhibition space, The Cube, has been supplied with MultiTaction interactive displays by MultiTouch.
The exhibition includes 48x 55″ ultra-thin bezel (UTB) MultiTaction Cell displays, forming the 1,400 cubic metre Cube. The Cube comprises six educational zones, including the two-storey, 14-metre-long Virtual Reef where 20 Cells combine with an edge-blended Panasonic projection system, and the innovative Physics Zone.
Built by Pro AV Solutions Queensland – Australian member of the Global Presence Alliance – and one of the biggest spaces of its kind in the world, The Cube structure is made up of multiple zones (five of which feature MultiTaction displays) running a number of interactive applications, including the Virtual Reef. It is dedicated to providing an inspiring, explorative and participatory experience of QUT’s Science and Engineering research, and provides the heart of the university’s new $230 million Science and Engineering Centre at Gardens Point campus.
