It’s increasingly apparent that there’s more than one way to reach consumers. Digital signage is one of the newest ways to communicate with the public and its popularity is growing rapidly.
The Skinny: NEC is a popular manufacturer of display solutions and the company’s newly introduced, second-generation E Series of displays add several new features to support the digital signage market.
The Specs: The line is available in a choice of four screen sizes: 32 inch, 42 inch, 46 inch and 55 inch, and the units incorporate RS-232 control, integrated USB Media Players and three HDMI inputs. In addition, the displays offer analog inputs such as component video, composite video and VGA inputs, and other features like built-in ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuners, built-in stereo speakers and full HD 1920 x 1080 screen resolutions.
Solutions: NEC says the displays provide a choice of cost effective digital signage solutions for spaces such as hotel lobbies, waiting rooms, conference rooms, retail stores and corporate lobbies.
