NSCA Announces 2015 Business & Leadership Conference Keynotes

Published: 2014-10-29

The plans for NSCA‘s 17th annual Business & Leadership Conference (BLC) are already in the works. The event will take place on February 26-28, 2015, in Tampa, FL.

Just announced, the latest keynote speaker added to the BLC lineup is Liz Wiseman, leadership educator and Wall Street Journal best-selling author.

Wiseman will present on the difference between “leaders who are ‘diminishers’ and those who are multipliers … and how many of today’s leaders are wasting their most vital resources being diminishers,” according to a press release from NSCA. The keynote will be sponsored by Synnex.

Wiseman has travelled the world speaking on the topic of leadership. She writes for Harvard Business Review and is the author of Multipliers: How the Best Leaders Make Everyone Smarter and The Multiplier Effect: Tapping the Genius Inside Our Schools. Her third book, Rookie Smarts, was just released.

“We’re thrilled to bring Liz Wiseman to BLC in 2015,” says Chuck Wilson, NSCA’s executive director. “She has an incredibly unique way of explaining what makes a good leader, and the steps to getting there. The world needs more multipliers, and Wiseman will illustrate the resoundingly positive (and profitable) effect that a multiplier can have on an organization.”

Other BLC 2015 keynotes include:

  • Edgar Papke, author of True Alignment: Gain insight into a groundbreaking approach to how companies and teams align the four elements of business to achieve higher performance levels.
  • Mike Abrashoff, author of It’s Your Ship: Abrashoff took command of the USS Benfold when its performance ranked at the bottom of the Pacific Fleet. Learn how Abrashoff led the ship’s remarkable turnaround (and realized that his own leadership style had to change).
  • Joe Calloway, author of Be the Best at What Matters Most: Regardless of your company’s size, you can use the same ways of thinking that enable companies like Apple, Zappos, and Southwest Airlines to sustain extraordinary success.
