Published: 2015-04-20

As popular as buzzwords such as, high-resolution audio and building automation are, none of these technologies are fully realized without the aid of a substantial network that supports the delivery of high-bandwidth content and reliable network traffic management.

Supporting the residential and commercial markets’ ability to support these technologies, as well as traditional networking functions such as email, file sharing and basic computing is the Hayward, Calif.-based manufacturer Pakedge Device & Software, Inc.

Adding to its line of pre-configured bundled kits, the Bay Area company has introduced its new RE2 bundle.

Assembled specifically to address A/V and automation applications, the RE2 bundle includes the company’s RE2 router and a choice of the S8Hav or S8Mpd managed switches. Pakedge explains the S8Hav switch is an enterprise-grade switch with eight PoE ports, with four of those ports featuring PoE+ capabilities, while the S8Mp is a streamlined product that includes eight ports.
