RGB Spectrum will be demonstrating the capabilities of several new products in its InfoComm 2015 booth (#1843), including its new 4K UHD video wall processor, the MediaWall V, which offers up to 4K resolution I/O, single wire connectivity and fully scalable windows.

RGB Spectrum will also be showing off its new Linx matrix switcher and a 4K-enabled version of its Enterprise MCMS control room media platform.

The MediaWall V processor’s architecture “combines the real-time processing and reliability of a hardware-based processor with the flexibility of a separate, dedicated processor to run applications,” according to RGB Spectrum’s announcement.

“Add in integrated IP capabilities, extensive user-friendly features, enhanced security and an intuitive, easy-to-operate control interface and you get a 4K video wall processing system with unsurpassed power and versatility. With a MediaWall V processor, you can display ultra high-resolution 4K video and graphics together with HD sources on a wall array of 2K/HD or 4K/UHD display devices.”

The Linx 4K is a new high-performance matrix switcher that simultaneously routes 4K UHD and HD signals. It will be exhibited for the first time at InfoComm 2015. It offers single-wire distribution of 4K/UHD signals (4096 x 2160 @ 24Hz and 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz) along with routing of 2K and lower resolution signals.

The Linx 4K switcher “is purpose-built to switch and route these signals with remarkable efficiency, and delivers superb image quality to every destination,” according to RGB Spectrum’s announcement.

The Linx 4K switcher supports up to 36 inputs and 28 outputs. The switcher’s non-blocking architecture enables any input to be routed to any output.  Full HDCP compliance allows the routing of copy-protected video to multiple outputs without restriction. In addition, embedded audio is passed through the switcher with full audio/video synchronization.

The 4K-enabled version of the Enterprise MCMS control system is a hardware/software platform that “uses video to integrate control of disparate systems over baseband video or IP (LAN/WAN),” according to RGB Spectrum’s announcement. “Designed for collaborative work environments, it allows multiple operators to share keyboard/mouse (KVM) control of all integrated systems and source computers.”

Depending on a customer’s requirements, the system can be customized by choosing from a range of hardware components. When configured with MediaWall V, Enterprise MCMS supports a full range of inputs and outputs up to 4K/UHD resolution.

Enterprise MCMS provides operators with a unified and highly-graphical control interface that is intuitive and streamlined. Offering live thumbnails and drag-and-drop capabilities, this interface is useful in a range of mission-critical control room applications: command and control, debriefing centers, megapixel surveillance, military reconnaissance, security operations centers (SOCs), emergency operations centers (EOCs), industrial/process control and SCADA system integration.
