Stampede, InfoComm Partner for Roundtables, Big Book of AV

Published: 2015-03-10

If you’ve been trying to figure out a way to make it to both an InfoComm roundtable event and Stampede Big Book of AV tour stop in your area, there’s some good news for those in the Houston, New York, Chicago, D.C., Montreal and Phoenix areas.

InfoComm International is launching what it calls Roundtable Plus events, combining with Stampede to offer attendees more for their time and money. The Houston stop, and others along the tour, will feature a keynote presentation by InfoComm senior VP Duffy Wilbert and training sessions on Samsung media players for digital signage, the fundamentals of Sony unified communications and video conferencing and an overview of the drone/UAS industry and its business potential.

The Big Book of AV Tour and Conference, which touts itself as “the pro AV industry’s biggest annual traveling roadshow,” has been known for its hands-on product demonstrations. Combining forces with InfoComm gives the event the added bonuses of CTS-certified training classes and the roundtable discussion on industry issues.

“Fueled by a huge dealer interest in all things related to drones, 2015 is turning out to be our biggest tour yet,” said Stampede president and COO Kevin Kelly in a press release announcing the partnership with InfoComm International, starting in Houston March 26.

“Our partnership with InfoComm’s Roundtable Events provides attendees with additional access to leading industry executives and subject matter experts.  And, of course, the participation of leading manufacturers from every product category make the 2015 Big Book of AV Tour & Conference a must-attend networking and business developing event for any forward-looking ProAV dealer,” said Kelly in the statement.

After stopping first in Tampa, Las Vegas, and, most recently, Chicago, the 2015 Stampede BBOAV Tour and Conference is set to provide Houston-area dealers and AV professionals with the opportunity to meet with leading AV industry manufacturers, attend CTS-certified trainings, and participate in industry-focused roundtable discussions. Among the topics will be drones, which Kelly sees as an emerging trend in the industry.

“Dealers are finally getting the message that drones represent a major new revenue opportunity that they can immediately begin to incorporate into their portfolio of solutions,” he said.
