SureCall and RSRF Provide DAS Alternative for Small Buildings

Published: 2017-02-25

SureCall and RSRF, a new enterprise-focused division of RepeaterStore, are now working together to provide building owners an alternative to Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) at a fraction of typical cost.

The partnership meets the needs of companies looking to boost their in-building cellular signal with in-building cellular reception.

Low-emissivity glass, concrete and metal construction materials routinely block radio frequency (RF) signals, which results in dropped and missed calls.

DAS is a solution for companies that have a building footprint larger than 250,000 square feet in size, but cell signal boosters can be used in smaller facilities.

Here’s more information about the partnership between SureCall and RSRF:

According to the results of the U.S. Energy Administration’s 2012 Commercial Building Energy Consumption survey, 88 percent of commercial buildings in America today are 25,000 square feet or smaller.

“The cost of DAS is on average $2 to $4 per square foot while the total costs for cellular signal booster equipment and installation averages well below half that number per square foot, giving building owners the same results but at a fraction of the cost of DAS,” stated Hongtao Zhan, CEO of SureCall.

“We’ve seen the need for all-carrier, cellphone reception solutions continue to grow—particularly in the fields of healthcare, education and hospitality,” said Sina Khanifar, CEO of RSRF. “We’re very excited to partner with SureCall to continue to deliver effective solutions for this channel.”
