Helping electronics professionals to install concise and efficient rack-mounted systems are the latest products from SurgeX.
The Skinny: The Zebulon, North Carolina-based manufacturer’s new Space Saver Line of surge elimination products are engineered to save rack space, while protecting a client’s substantial investment into electronics components.
The Specs: The new line features two products, the Compact Mount and the Vertical Mount. The Compact Mount is available with 2, 18 or 24 outlets while the Vertical Mount features eight grounded AC outlets.
SurgeX says that to allow for maximum convenience and flexibility, both products have been designed to be mounted with plugs facing up or down. Additionally, the company says both offerings have a remote interface and remote indicator LED, Over/Under Voltage Protection LED, Power On/Off LED and Self Test LED, as well as two power configurations: 15 Amp/120 Volt and 20 Amp/120 Volt.
Solutions: The A-1-1 Certified SurgeX Space Savers are designed to meet the demands of commercial installations where protecting ProAV equipment from AC surges and electrical transients is a must.
