Published: 2015-09-01

In this week’s Video Weekly News, editor Tom LeBlanc points to a couple stories worth checking out on Commercial Integrator.

Fresh out of the recent CI Summit, buying groups USAV and ProSource teamed up to launch CI Edge, which will support small commercial integration firms and residential firms diversifying into commercial support. The idea for CI Edge actually came out of last year’s CI Summit, when folks from the two groups met and discussed ideas.

Meanwhile, the news of another important industry partnership broke earlier this week, as Apple and Cisco announced they will work together to optimize iPhones and iPads for Cisco’s enterprise collaboration tools.

CI has also featured a series of articles called You’re Fired! They call out reasons that an integrator might want to “fire” a client, why it might be a good idea to do so, and how to go about having the tough decision.
