The annual Worship Facilities Conference and Expo takes place this week in Dallas from Nov. 9-11. Even if you haven’t registered and can’t be there in person, that doesn’t mean you’ll have to miss all of the great content and insight about how to succeed in the house of worship market.
That’s because eight sessions from the annual three-day event will be streamed live for free online, kicking off with an offering that cuts through the clutter and eliminates the rumors about what you need to do to thrive in this competitive space. “Separating the Smoke & Mirrors from Meaningful Innovations: How to Distinguish Must-Have Technology For Your House Of Worship,” runs from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT Wednesday.
You can also check out “Future Church: Buildings in 2020” from 1 to 2:30 p.m., “The Top 11 Things That Pastors Wish They Knew Before They Built” from 3 to 4 p.m., and “Master Planning for Multi-Site Ministry” from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
The free sessions continue on Thursday with “Alive and Finishing Strong - A New Vision of Health for the Church” from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; “Develop a Powerful Church Web Strategy” from 1 to 2 p.m.; “The Social Media Landscape: Understanding and Using It” from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. and “Social Media Ain’t Going Away #praiseGod” from 4 to 5 p.m. For those who are new to social media, the “hashtag” #praiseGod will make it easier to find your message when you post them on Twitter.
With more than 100 classes scheduled, there surely are many more sessions to pick for those who will be deep in the heart of Texas this week, but for those who can’t make it, there’s no reason to feel completely left out. Make sure you tune in to a session or two because chances are your competitors will.
Good article. I’d add something to Tom’s observations:
