Atlona Ships JunoX Switcher, Rondo Series Distribution Amplifiers with 4K HDR

Atlona has announced that its JunoX Series HDMI switcher and Rondo Series distribution amplifiers are now available and shipping.

[related]The San Jose, Calif.-based company states that all three of the newly available products support UHD 4K at 60Hz, along with 4:4:4 chroma subsampling and HDR with data rates up to 18Gbps. The products are designed for both the residential and commercial markets.

“The availability of these products offer a substantial efficiency boost to commercial and residential integrators looking for easy-to-install, easy-to-use switching and distribution solutions that deliver high reliability with long-term value,” says Joshua Castro, product manager, Atlona. “All three products represent important components of our HDR-compatible portfolio, now and moving forward. The Rondo 442 and the Rondo 444 distribution [amplifiers] are priced at $340 and $470 each respectively, while the JunoX 451 switcher is available for $490. All three products include Atlona’s award-winning 10-year limited product warranty.”

The West Coast manufacturer explains the JunoX Series (AT-JUNO-451) is a 4×1 HDMI switcher that supports the HDMI 2.0a format, which covers technologies like 4K with HDR, and HDMI Audio Return Channel.

Atlona says the HDCP 2.2 compliant product also offers Toslink digital audio output to send audio to A/V receivers and soundbars for additional system configuration flexibility.

Both the Rondo 442 (AT-RON-442) and the Rondo (AT-RON-444) distribution amplifiers offer EDID management options.

In addition, both amplifiers have front-panel LED indicators for power and signal status communications. Atlona notes that integrators can cascade up to eight units without compromising performance, and all three products can be used for applications such as content distribution from sources such as Ultra HD Blu-ray disc players, streaming devices and media players.

The JunoX 451 provides EDID management feature control via Ethernet, RS-232 and IR.

Integrators using Atlona’s free Atlona Management System (AMS) can easily configure the products according to the company.
