For Kramer, which made its share of Infocomm 2017 news with major announcements including that its Kramer Control that it introduced at the previous InfoComm is now shipping, Kramer Sound represents a new product category.

According to Kramer, Kramer Sound enables simultaneous processing of 64 input channels and distribution to up to 1,000 outputs and is fully compatible with any Dante audio signal and provides auto-detection of all Kramer devices and their functionality.

Yuval Kramer, son of founder Dr. Joseph Kramer, is charged with “pioneering audio at Kramer Electronics,” says COO Clint Hoffman.

As director of audio, Yuval demonstrated Kramer Sound. “As a music producer and sound engineer, I realize the significance of audio in our everyday lives. From that understanding, Kramer Sound was born,” said Yuval in a press release.

“That’s why partnering with Waves, a powerhouse in professional audio who share this view, seemed natural. Kramer Sound marks the beginning of an audio revolution in the Pro-AV industry.”

Kramer calls its Kramer Sound single-box, plug-and-play solution “perfect for large-scale DSP deployments, including airports, hotels, court rooms, and hospitals.” It adds that it integrates with standard IT infrastructures.

As with all Kramer’s solutions, Hoffman points out, Kramer Sound is targeted at integration customers’ IT departments. The DSP solution simplifies the user experience with a single point of contact for both management and support of all audio devices, according to the press release.

During Infocomm 2017, Yuval, who brings a musician’s perspective to the development of Kramer Sound, drew attention to Kramer’s new product category with periodic guitar riffs. It was hard to look elsewhere as the guitarist shredded up Kramer’s booth. He’s good!
