Dante AV Networking World Certification and Training at InfoComm 2017

Published: 2017-06-09

From systems integrators to end users across many business verticals, AV professionals have numerous benefits in moving AV systems onto network. Providing flexibility, cost savings, and improved quality, networked AV is rapidly gaining traction.

With the evolution of technology comes the need for continuing education, as nothing remains status quo for long in this business. As technology suppliers, it’s Audinate’s responsibility to evolve with their customers, and provide the insights, support and services that come with technological – and operational – transformations.

With its Dante AV Networking World (AVNW) events, Audinate has long been at the forefront of education in audio-over-IP, a significant piece of the AV/IT convergence universe. From trade shows to road shows, the goal of AVNW events has always been to help AV professionals understand the benefits, enact the technology and reap the rewards of audio-over-IP.

Dante AV Networking World

Dante AV Networking World at InfoComm 2017 will offer a new level of certification for all levels of experience.

Audinate is continuing this tradition at InfoComm 2017, with a full day AV Networking World event on June 13th at the Rosen Center Hotel. For attendees that are relatively new to Dante and seeking the basic foundation to get started, Audinate will offer an “Introduction to Dante” track. This session will cover audio networking fundamentals, basic networking concepts, creating a small-scale Dante network, and using Dante Controller and Dante Virtual Soundcard. In the afternoon, this track will delve into Intermediate Dante Concepts, a session covering topics such as Dante redundancy, clocking, latency, multicast and AES67. This track will prepare attendees for Dante Level 1 and Level 2 certification.

FEATURED REPORT

New to the course offerings this year is the Advanced Dante Networking course and the Dante Certification Level 3 certification, which is geared toward attendees that are already using Dante, and are looking to create more advanced systems and learn best practices. This session covers in-depth advanced networking concepts, mixed use networks, networking best practices and troubleshooting techniques.

All three sessions align with Audinate’s philosophy of more education in understanding IT/AV convergence and managing Dante-enabled networked systems. No matter where your Dante knowledge rests, there is a track for you.

Going Further with Dante AV Networking World

While the beginner and advanced programs will focus on different educational paths, all attendees of Dante AV Networking World benefit from informative presentations on industry trends and initiatives. The beginner track includes:

  • Audio Networking Trends and Research, presented by Roland Hemming, RH Consulting.
  • A Dante Installation Case Study, presented by Matt Wentz, Audio Systems Engineer, Willow Creek Community Church
  • Dante Domain Manager and Sneak Peek from Dante Labs, presented by Aidan Williams, CTO of Audinate

The Advance track will get a Dante Domain Manger and sneak peak from Dante Labs from Aidan Williams.

With DDM expected to figure in prominently to the overarching AVNW theme this year of best practices for installing Dante audio networks, attendees are sure to find this year’s InfoComm AVNW program to be among the most varied and dynamic educational experiences from Audinate to date.

In addition, leading audio manufacturers, Allen & Heath, Ashly Audio, Attero Tech, Audio Technica, Bose, Bosch, Clear Comm, Extron, Focusrite-Rednet, Media Vision, Powersoft, RDL, Sennheiser, SoundTube, Stewart Audio, Symetrix, Visionary Solutions, and Yamaha Commercial Audio will offer hands-on demonstrations of their Dante-enabled products, reiterating just how valuable Dante has become to our growing industry.

The Tuesday, June 13 program runs from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, the day prior to InfoComm’s opening bell. Entry includes a hosted lunch and cocktail reception at the end of the day for all attendees. Seating is limited, so interested attendees are encouraged to register quickly for Dante AV Networking World.
