Tempest Introduces Whisper-Quiet HUSH Projector Enclosure

Published: 2014-05-14

Tempest, a leading manufacturer of climate controlled projector enclosures, will showcase its noise attenuating range, HUSH, at InfoComm this year. This product reduces the audible noise of projectors of all sizes to as little as 2dB.

“In most cases, the places we use projectors are the places where we need to concentrate most—at work, in school, or at church. In these applications the industrial hum of a projector is incredibly distracting so at Tempest, we’ve engineered this problem out of the equation,” says Tempest president Tim Burnham.

The HUSH projector enclosures are lined with acoustic insulation material, and smaller models come with an exhaust fan at the end of a long padded hose. Larger models (for projectors up to 40,000 ANSI Lumens), the enclosure uses a duct to connect to fans located out of earshot.

Tempest will be at Booth #N1069 at InfoComm this June.
