Crystal Screens Announces 120- and 150-Inch Screens for Commercial Applications

Published: 2017-09-11

Crystal Screens recently announced the availability of 120-inch and 150-inch displays and custom sizes up to 150-inch diagonal for professional AV dealers and integrators.

Utilizing the company’s proprietary holographic technology, which “rejects all types of ambient light sources and provides uniform optical performance over all color spectrums,” according to the company press release, the new screens are available in 16:9 and 16:10 aspect ratios and are designed for difficult lighting conditions common in commercial installations.

“Dealers have asked us for larger screen sizes and we’re very pleased to offer the 120-inch and 150-inch,” says Dave Cusick, director of sales for Crystal Screens, in the press release announcing the new displays’ sizes. “Our engineering team worked tirelessly to create a virtually invisible seam that allows us to produce the larger screen sizes to accommodate retail spaces, house of worship, museums, corporate boardrooms and other venues where light is difficult to control.”

In addition to the exceptional gain and ambient light rejection, the Reflect 3.0 120-inch and 150-inch screens include a new three-inch-wide, velvet covered bezel with a proprietary frame tensioning design that is easy to assemble.

“Dealers and integrators out in the field will appreciate the new modular frame design that can be installed in less time and saves valuable time,” says Cusick.

Originally developed for the aerospace industry by optical scientists, Crystal Screens’ holographic technology creates a random surface that manipulates light energy. The result is exceptional gain and ambient light rejection and zero hot spots. Crystal Screens provides a gain of 3.0, making it an ideal screen for brightly lit conference rooms, classrooms, theme parks, museums and other environments where ambient light is difficult to control.

In July, Crystal Screens announced the availability of a 130-inch diagonal screen tailored for high-end home cinema that utilizes the company’s proprietary holographic technology that rejects all types of ambient light sources and provides uniform optical performance over all color spectrums, the new seamless screen has a 2.4:1 aspect ratio, commonly known as Cinemascope.
