InfoComm Q&A: MuxLab to Demo HDMI-over-IP, AV-over-IP 4K/60 Extenders

MuxLab is all about transmitting 4K/60 over IP at InfoComm 2017. The company will demo its new HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE extender as well as its AV over IP 4K/60 uncompressed extender at the upcoming show in Orlando.

Pascal Gaudreault, sales director, North America at MuxLab, took the time to speak with CI about the new products it’ll show attendees at its booth (#2748) at InfoComm 2017.

If we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm 2017 booth, what should it be?

HDMI over IP H.264/H.265 PoE Extender (model 500762).

The 500762 Transmitter and Receiver combination allows HDMI source and display equipment to be extended locally up to 330ft (100m) at up to 4K @ 60Hz resolution via Cat5e/6 cable in point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint configurations via a local Ethernet network, in a low bandwidth, flexible, expandable and cost effective manner, without the need to install dedicated cabling system.

What if we have time to see one more thing?

AV over IP 4K/60 Uncompressed Extender, UTP (model 500760).

The Extender supports HDMI up to 4K/60 on Transmitter and Receiver & DisplayPort 1.2a up to 4K/60 on Transmitter. Offers uncompressed up to 4K/60 (4:2:0) (zero latency), and light compression visually lossless at (4:4:4) (1 frame latency).

What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm 2017 booth?
