Christie Digital Brings Networked Control Rooms to ISC West 2017

Christie showcases its FHD553-XE extreme-narrow bezel LCD panel at ISC West 2017.

Exhibiting in booth #23123 at ISC West 2017, Christie will feature solutions supporting networked control rooms, such as its FHD553-XE LCD panelsVelvet Apex Series 1.2mm LED tiles, Entero HB 70-inch Display Cubes, Christie Phoenix, Christie Phoenix EP and Christie Phoenix Quad-T products.

“Because security operations teams work from multiple locations, there’s an increased need to collaborate and manage data in multiple formats and secure sites in order to be effective, while making critical decisions about security,” says John Hallman, director, Americas, technical sales and solutions, Christie.

“At ISC West 2017, attendees will experience Christie’s breadth of control room solutions that address the demands placed on evolving modern security operations,” Hallman continues. “We offer robust and reliable displays, to cutting-edge open network distribution systems. Our control room solutions are used all over the world in the most demanding security monitoring situations.”

When Control Room Image Performance Is Vital

The FHD553-XE LCD panel in a 2×2 array allows integrators to set up tiled display walls in monitoring environments. The LCD display features a narrow 1.7mm bezel and provides high-pixel density to render quality images.

The company adds that the FHD553-EX works with its Phoenix EP to provide security professionals with a complete monitoring system.

Christie’s Velvet Apex Series LED tiles deliver quality images through its 1.2mm fine pixel pitch. Christie says this technology enables the product’s use in critical viewing applications where image clarity is an important performance element.

Christie’s 70-inch Entero HD front-access display cube utilizes LED technologies that enable the product to produce bright images. Another key performance advantage of the Entero Display Cube according to the company, is its 24/7 reliability and low total cost of ownership.

Control options for the Entero include wireless capabilities that allows users to make adjustments, control the wall and perform diagnostic functions through an Apple iPad.

Designed to provide expand the capabilities of a control room environment, Christie’s Phoenix control room solution enables the control and access of A/V data from nearly anywhere.

Incorporating both hardware and software, the Phoenix controller utilizes standard IP technologies, and Christie points out that integrators can scale Phoenix-based systems to fit a variety of client needs.

Another member of the Phoenix family of products is the Phoenix EP.

The Phoenix EP is a network distributed processor that integrators can install into Christie displays. Christie says the Phoenix EP is a cost-friendly, compact device that integrators can offer clients as a scalable solution that manages content on video walls.

Connecting directly to the network via category cable, the Phoenix EP streamlines the workflow processes by integrating and managing A/V systems.

With Ultra HD 4K content gaining momentum, Christie’s Phoenix line of products is also addressing this market segment through its Phoenix Quad-T AV over IP solution.

Christie says the Quad-T provides a greater level of flexibility to provide the ability to capture and control audio, video and control signals over IP networks. Having this flexibility enables users to work more efficiently through increased data capabilities from multiple locations. The HDCP compliant product also offers KVM options from a central control room for additional user flexibility.
