WyreStorm, a global manufacturer of signal management products, has introduced its new H2L Series matrix switchers.
The company’s Albany, N.Y.-based office says the H2L Series will be available in 6×6 and 8×8 matrix versions, and WyreStorm says the products incorporate Class B HDBaseT technologies to support a variety of content, including 4K Ultra HD with high dynamic range (HDR).
A key design consideration of the H2L matrix switchers according to the company, is to maintain value without compromising performance.
Staying with its value-minded design goals, WyreStorm says the switchers’ use of Class B HDBaseT enables the products to transmit content like 4K, HDR, Dolby Atmos and HDCP 2.2 up to 115 feet, and HD 1080p at 60Hz content up to 230 feet.

Explaining the technical capabilities of its H2L series, WyreStorm says the products support in-demand residential technologies such as 10-bit HDR and PoH to remotely power receivers to eliminate the need wall-wart power supplies at display locations.
The company also points out the matrix switchers also incorporate its QuickSync instant source switching to provide uncompressed single frame, end-to-end performance.[related]
The products also feature WyreStorm’s SmartEDID technology that addresses the increase of mixed resolutions installations through its dynamic EDID management.
Other features built into the products include bi-directional IR pass through for source and sink control, and an embedded Web interface that facilitates setup and installation.
Integrators can use the H2L Matrix Switchers for applications that include light commercial installs such as bars and restaurants, and for residential whole-house A/V installations.
