At the heart of ZeeVee’s intense focus on AV-over-IP distribution at InfoComm 2017 is its ZyPer4K AV over IP solution. During the show in Orlando, June 14-16, the video distribution manufacturer will showcase the third generation of ZyPer4K AV over IP.

“As one of the first manufacturer’s to ship an IP-based distribution product over two and a half years ago, we are excited to showcase our latest ZyPer4K solution at InfoComm 2017,” says Art weeks, ZeeVee’s product manager, IP products, in a press release.
“Not only have we successfully deployed IP solutions across five continents since 2014, we have been quick to innovate and add functionality to easily and cost effectively distribute video, audio, KVM and control in a signal platform without the need for complicated and expensive matrix switches,” continues Weeks.
Indeed, ZeeVee has been talking about AV-over-IP a lot recently. Executives Bob Michaels and Steve Metzger conducted a webcast with CI titled, “AV over IP: How to Thrive in a Post-Matrix Switching Era.”
Michaels expects InfoComm 2017 to be big for AV-over-IP after watching the needle move on acceptance over the past year or two. At Integrated Systems Europe 2016, he told CI, it was mostly lip service being paid to AV-over-IP. “There were a lot of questions about internal networks and talking about the IT guy saying no [to AV-over-IP].” At ISE 2017, however, “it was more like, ‘You can do it but you have to do it the right way.’”

ZeeVee has since jointed Software Defined Video Over Ethernet (SDVoE) Alliance, which aims to speed up the transition to AV-over-IP.
