CI Fantasy Football League Is Back

Published: 2017-08-24

Last year, CI launched a fantasy football league, pitting manufacturers and integrators against each other in a battle of skills, will and luck that ended with five outsiders earning championship bragging rights and only yours truly sipping the bubbly among CI staffers and sales reps.

We had so much fun with this endeavor last year that we’re doing it again this year, and we’re hoping you’ll join the party this time around. Unlike the inevitable almost-annual Super Bowl victory by the New England Patriots, fantasy football is always full of surprises and those who pore over stats and projections are only one season-ending injury away from watching their chances go down with them.

In addition to your humble league champion/editor-at-large, CI will be once again represented by editor-in-chief Tom LeBlanc, publisher Ray Lyons and sales reps Lindsay Gonsiorowski and and Shawn Tobin, with other EH Media staffers possibly joining the fray as well.

FEATURED REPORT

Unlike the inevitable almost-annual Super Bowl victory by the New England Patriots, fantasy football is always full of surprises.

Each manufacturer and integrator who signs up by Sunday, Aug. 27 will be assigned to a league that includes one CI rep.

We’ll plan to draft our teams on Aug. 31 (give or take, depending on each league’s preferences) and then wait patiently for the Patriots to hoist another Super Bowl championship banner on Thursday, Sept. 7 to kick off the season.

The winner in each league will earn a fabulous prize and of course be the subject of unending fame and adulation, or at least get a bit of an ego boost.

For those who are worried you have to know everything about every team in the NFL to excel in the CI Fantasy Football League, fret not. Last year, our former web editor—who went into the season saying she knew just about nothing about teams other than the Patriots—made it to the championship in her league.

There’s nothing stopping you from following that path to never-ending glory.
