Torus Power Prepares Display of Toroidal Isolation Power at ISE 2017

Published: 2017-01-31

Torus Power is showing off its Automatic Voltage Regulation 2 series models, the AVR2 8 CE and AVR2 16 CE, at Integrated Systems Europe 2017.

Torus Power’s toroidal isolation transformers are used in commercial and professional applications to power, protect, and significantly improve the quality and performance of electronic systems installations, according to a Torus press release.

Integrators understand the correlation between clean power and clear audio and video. Meanwhile, Torus Power says most of its AVR2 series models can be custom-specified for particularly applications.

More on Torus Power’s AVR2 Line

Built around Plitron’s proprietary toroidal isolation technology, the AVR2 Series offers Automatic Voltage Regulation, Series Mode Surge suppression and Ethernet connectivity, according to Torus.

FEATURED REPORT

The line is targeted at large-scale custom installations such as professional studios, critical listening environments, healthcare facilities, commercial theaters, luxury private cinemas, and other high performance applications.

Torus Power AVR2 series is targeted at applications such as professional studios, critical listening environments, health care facilities, commercial theaters and luxury private cinemas.

Like other Torus Power transformers, the AVR2 CE models, available in 8 or 16 outlet configurations, isolate electrical currents from the main grid to power and protect electronic components for superior performance, according to the press release.

It adds that Series Mode Surge suppression works by safely and effectively suppressing power surges without raising ground voltage, to deliver clean, consistent power for better audio and video signals. Innovative Automatic Voltage Regulation technology provides stable voltage to keep international units running within +/-10V of the optimal range, from 220V up to 240V, regardless of electric grid conditions.

The AVR2 8 CE and AVR2 16 CE contain all the functionality of the AVR series, adding enhanced Ethernet (IP) control and monitoring capabilities, as well as individually addressable outlet zones (up to 5 individual zones in 15 Amp and 20 Amp models, and up to 8 individual zones in 60 and 100 Amp models), power-up sequencing with selectable delay time between zones, and an automatic reboot feature permitting remote restart of routers and modems if the Internet connection is lost.

In addition to shelf or rack mount units, the AVR2 series is available in a wall mount configuration for greater flexibility in projects with dedicated wiring.
