“You’re going to see some surprises in the game presentation,” Mascatello says. The Titans debuted their high-tech overhaul on ESPN in a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals Aug. 23.

In addition to installing some of the world’s largest video screens (biggest outdoor surface mount LED displays in the world) and video ribbons at LP Field, the $25 million project also consists of more than 150 outdoor/indoor flat SunBrite panels throughout the venue, 800 new speakers and new elevators to the upper deck. The open-air facility will also feature integrated sound and visuals production, unlike any other NFL game day presentation.

ANC had about five months for production and installation, says Mascatello, scheduling the job not only around other trades in the building, with whom they met every week, but also coordinating with events such as the four-day CMA Music Festival in June.

Weather was another concern, with “an unbelievably hot summer, microburst rain storms and afternoon thunderstorms,” says Mascatello, but “we learned to adapt and live with that.”

ANC praised its partners, including Almo Pro AV, for the deployment of TVs throughout the stadium. ANC will have two staffers at LP Field during games for the length of the contract.

“Our hope and our plan is that other teams will see something new is being done and they’ll want a piece of it too,” Mascatello says.
