Just when it seems like displays can’t get any brighter, thinner, sleeker or overall more innovative, manufacturers seem to always find a way to introduce displays with new designs and features that make them even more impressive than the last.

Planar, for example, introduced its Clarity Matrix MX55HDX LCD video wall, which features the industry’s smallest tiled bezel. When tiled together to create a video wall, the 55-inch Clarity Matrix MX55HDX provides a tiled bezel width of 1.6 millimeters.

In the first InfoComm since Leyard acquired Planar, Leyard showcased its TWA Series of fine-pitch LED video walls, touting low power consumption and outstanding video quality. Models are available now with 1.2 millimeter pixel pitch and later this year in 1.8.

SiliconCore LED displays are also making waves, measuring between 1500 and 2000 nits of brightness, about double many other manufacturers’ brightest offerings. They also use less power to generate that brightness, which leads to less stress and less degradation of the image on the screen, according to Nicos Syrimis, senior VP of business development.
