Crestron, Microsoft Collaborate on New Surface Hub Conference Room Solution

Microsoft will not be a punchline at InfoComm 2015.

The IT giant took its lumps last year after making its InfoComm debut as Platinum Sponsor and not launching any products or creating much engagement in its large, prominent booth.

InfoComm 2015 is already a different story. Crestron says that Microsoft’s new Surface Hub collaboration solution  is natively compatible with Crestron products. Microsoft Surface Hub with Crestron compatibility will be on display at Crestron’s and Microsoft’s booths at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, June 17-19.

“When you see what Microsoft is introducing at the show, there will be no question that they are committed to the integration industry,” Sarrasin says.

Crestron authorized dealers will get an opportunity to meet requirements and satisfy an authorization process that will allow them to procure Crestron Surface Hub bundles through Crestron, says Joe Sarrasin, Crestron product manager, UCC Solutions.

“This truly is native integration between Crestron products and the Surface Hub, enabling users to connect everything on the network,” Sarrasin says. “The universe is at your fingertips. Crestron enables the Surface Hub to truly enhance the conference room collaboration experience.”
