This year’s InfoComm show on June 18-20 will provide many opportunities for training, education, and perhaps most importantly, certification.

The AVnu Alliance, an organization that certifies Audio Video Bridging (AVB) products for integration and interoperability, announces new education sessions at the upcoming InfoComm show.

You can find these sessions in the AVnu Alliance technology pavilion, where ten Alliance member companies will exhibit AVB demonstrations and products at booth C11350.

There will also be an in-booth networking cocktail party at the pavilion, hosted by the Alliance and sponsor companies, on Wednesday, June 18th from 4:00 to 5:00 PM. Members include Biamp Systems, Extreme Networks, and Yamaha.

The following education sessions provide recertification units (RU credits) toward a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification:

• Effective Deployment & Management of Large Scale AVB Networks

  • ISO012 – Wednesday, June 18th, 2014 from 8:00 – 10:00 AM
  • Speaker: Jeff Koftinoff, Meyer Sound
  • 1.5 RU Credits

• How to Design and Specify Systems Using AVB

  • ISO070 – Thursday, June 19th, 2014 from 2:30 – 4:40 PM
  • Speaker: Rob Boatright, Harman
  • 2 RU Credits

Alliance member Greg Kopchinski from Avid will also present AVB for Live Production and Houses of Worship on Friday, June 20th at 10:30 AM as part of the Technologies for Houses of Worship seminar.

These sessions and networking opportunities at the pavilion can help attendees learn about advancements to AVB and expand AVnu certification. Registration for these sessions is available through the InfoComm 2014 Official Event Explorer.
