L-Acoustics ARCS Are Flexible for the Rental Market

The new L-Acoustics ARCS family of products includes the A15 Focus, the A15 Wide, the A10 Focus, the A10 Wide, and the KS21 subwoofer.

L-Acoustics introduced its ARCS line of products to address the growing rental market at Prolight+Sound in Germany.

Engineered for audiences ranging from 50 to 5,000, the ARCS products provide a choice of five products to help meet the demands of rental installations.

Among the five products are four constant curvature enclosures—the A15 Focus, the A15 Wide, the A10 Focus, the A10 Wide, and a companion dedicated subwoofer—the KS21.

“The new ARCS family is a powerful concentrate of L-Acoustics technology, integrating best practices from across our entire product range and development history,” explains Christophe Combet, director of sound system design, R&D, L-Acoustics.

“Bended wood technology, inspired by our X Series, makes the new ARCS enclosures lightweight, yet incredibly sturdy. ARCS have configurable L-Fins for refining directivity.

“K2-grade speakers and drivers, the industry’s best available components, deliver our unmistakeable sonic signature. And the KS21, our first 21-inch sub, will exceed expectations as the best compact subwoofer in the market. The system has built-in ease of operation, right down to the flush fitting rigging for sleek integration.”

L-Acoustics ARCS: Affordability & Versatility

Achieving a throw up to 45 meters (147.6 feet) and a maximum output capability of 144dB, the ARCS enclosures mount on poles. Integrators can stack the products or fly them in either vertical or horizontal line-source arrays.

L-Acoustics says the ARCS series provides configurable directivity and the ability to scale to the exact parameters of events and venues.

The company says the A15 and A10 can be used for everything from small to large events, and activities that include weddings and galas.

In small or mid-size theaters and stages, the ARCS can serve as main systems with bottom-end support from the KS21, which plays down to 30Hz.

For larger events, integrators can deploy the product line as fill and delay solutions to complement larger K1 and K2 systems.

“The flexibility that can be achieved with this new generation of ARCS is unprecedented,” adds Germain Simon, product manager, L-Acoustics.

“The mounting, stacking and rigging options, combined with the user configurable L-Fins to adjust waveguide directivity, gives users a plethora of permutations to work with. For example, with only two ARCS elements, you can easily achieve 15 different coverage patterns.”
