Published: 2018-10-16

Augmenting its Condor collaboration system, Phoenix Audio releases the Condor Expansion Kit, which enables integrators to increase the system’s room coverage to make it more applicable to a wider array of installations.

The Irvine, Calif.-based company says the expansion kit incorporates a Stingray DSP mixer along with a pair of Condor Beamforming Microphone Arrays to provide integrators with a versatile conferencing solution for large room spaces.

“The Condor Expansion Kit provides a one-of-a-kind solution specifically tailored to large collaboration spaces,” says Jacob Marash, CEO, Phoenix Audio Technologies.

A key element of the Phoenix Audio Condor Expansion Kit is its ability to mount on a range of surfaces within a room.

Phoenix emphasizes the expansion kit’s mounting options meet end users’ desire to work in environments that aren’t cluttered with gear on tables, desks or ceilings. [related]

The system also utilizes the company’s daisy-chain technologies to support a wealth of configuration scenarios.

Phoenix Audio states the solution is a beamforming microphone array with built-in DSPs (digital signal processing).

Phoenix says the MT600 Condor System is a system integrators can deploy in huddle spaces and meeting rooms and complements speakers and soundbars to form a complete collaboration solution.

The Condor system features options such as dual connectivity that allows for the use of one product that requires multiple connectivity like audio and video for video conferencing applications.

Phoenix Audio also points out the Condor system offers the ability to connect two calls from different interfaces simultaneously through its bridging option, powered through the use of Power over Ethernet (PoE) or USB connections.

Rounding out the Phoenix Audio Condor Expansion Kit is the Stingray rack-mount DSP device (MT700).

The company adds the device incorporates a built-in amplifier, along with its proprietary distributed array technology to support multiple interfaces, and  inputs.
