NEC Display Solutions of America, Inc. says it has improved its PA242W desktop display. The NEC 24-inch MultiSync PA243W professional desktop display includes new features that include color coverage and make it a great fit for applications such as print production, digital photography, photo editing and video production.
“The MultiSync PA243W updates the PA242W, one of our most popular professional wide color gamut desktop displays,” said Art Marshall, Senior Product Manager for Desktop Displays at NECDisplay Solutions.

The display manufacturer adds that the MultiSync PA243W has a 24.1-inch IPS panel with LED backlight with an optimal viewing angle and anti-glare matte finish. Its premium color coverage is ideal for color-critical workflows and in photography, video, printing and other professional environments, according to an NEC Display press release.
The NEC 24-inch MultiSync PA243W increases Rec. 2020 coverage and boosts color accuracy to an impressive 99.6 percent of Adobe RGB.
According to the NEC Display press release, the MultiSync PA243W offers multiple connections for any application and a slew of features:
- Fast USB 3.1 hub featuring DisplaySync Pro KVM switch for managing multiple computers
- DisplayPort, DVI-D, VGA and HDMI.
- 31% slimmer design than the previous model
- Integrated speakers
- New Low Blue Light setting
[related] The NEC 24-inch MultiSync PA243W press release also highlights industry-leading service and support that includes a 4-year standard warranty with 48-hour exchange, and 1-year with overnight exchange extended warranties are available.
The PA243W-BK with a black cabinet will be shipping in early November at a minimum advertised price of $949, and a white cabinet (PA243W) is also available.
In addition, both colors will be available bundled with NEC’s award-winning SpectraViewII color calibration software and sensors as PA243W-SV (white) and PA243W-BK-SV (black) at a price of $1,199.
