smart-things InfoComm 2018 Booth Is the One to Visit If You’re Looking for Wall Mount Docking Solutions

Published: 2018-05-22

The smart-things InfoComm 2018 booth (#C4126) will feature the sDock Fix and other wall mount docking solutions. Here’s a quick Q&A with smart-things CEO Thomas Detemple on their InfoComm recommendations.

If we learn about only one product innovation in your InfoComm 2018 booth, what should it be?

We have created a sleek and stylized wall mount – docking charging system for iPads and other mobile devices in the design tradition of Apple.

Our mounts are additive and don’t detract from the inherent beauty of the iPad‘s themselves; yet they are easy to install, lockable, and feature simple cable management.

Our original sDock series featured the first sleek wall mount docking – charging system for iPads’ where an “in frame” photo appears when the iPad is removed from time to time.

The original sDock is pivot able to accommodate both landscape and portrait mode, is lockable and has easy cable management. In the interim we have developed both the sDock Fix and sDock Nano for permanent installations.

Everything we create is driven by a refined design aesthetic, ease of installation, use and optimal functionality.

Really what we are showing in our booth is not just about a product line up, but more about our vision for how our products should look and function in the world.

Ok….What if we have time to see one more thing?

We think the sDock Fix is definitely worth seeing. It won the prestigious German Design Award.

The sDock Fix continues to reflect the Apple design aesthetic, but is suited to applications where the iPad is permanently affixed to the wall.

I have to mention our most recent product the sDock Nano.

The all new sDock Nano addresses the need to permanently dock phones of all types when they are dedicated to running specific applications.

The Nano’s design continues the company’s tradition of design elegance and optimal functionality.

What’s one last impression you’d like us to take away from your InfoComm 2018 booth?

We hope that folks who see and feel our products come away with the sense that we have given much thought to the things that really matter: design and real world functionality at a price point that works in the market place.

We wanted to formally introduce our product line to the North American market and in so doing enhance our relationship with the Pro AV community including end users, AV systems designers – integrators, distributors and resellers.

We also want the AV community, including manufacturers to avail themselves of our custom design consulting services.

We have the ability to offer expert design and manufacturing consulting in concert with our strategic partner TQ- Group.
