New Extron DTP CrossPoint 4K Series Matrix Switchers Offer Enhanced Network Security

Extron's DTP CrossPoint 4K Series presentation matrix switchers

Extron DTP CrossPoint 4K Series matrix switchers now provide more control flexibility and power, according to the company. An integrated three-port AV LAN switch enables secure control of the AV devices connected to the local AV LAN while isolating them from the corporate network.

The network isolation feature, therefore, may help integrators address network-related concerns of their customers’ tech-decision-making IT professionals.

According to Extron, the built-in DHCP server automatically distributes IP addresses and network configuration parameters for these devices, which streamlines system setup and management. The new capabilities of the DTP CrossPoint 4K Series are in addition to what Extron calls many integrator-friendly features provided to design and integrate today’s advanced AV systems in one box.

“The dedicated AV LAN switch addresses customer concerns by providing network isolation for enhanced security,” says Casey Hall, VP of worldwide sales and marketing, Extron. “It offers convenient control of multiple AV devices and is secure from outside interference or intrusion.”
