Hall Research VERSA-4K
Among several new offerings for 2019, Hall Research had on hand its VERSA-4K AV-over-IP solution that provides 4K video and USB extension for point-to-point or matrix over IP. The sender/receiver products feature low latency video and audio, user-configurable video wall processor, HDMI video loop output on the sender, extracted HDMI audio on both sender and receiver, 4 USB ports on receiver, PoE powered, and USB device class filtering. “What we’re showing [in the booth configuration] is more of the command-and-control type application, where they may need quick deployment at a lower cost point. Maybe an entry-level, small municipality, something along those lines that has to monitor multiple setups,” says Josh Petru, business development manager – Central Region. “It’s video-over-IP and what we’re able to do is extend USB and HDMI … we’re able to create presets of how they want sources set up. And because of the USB you could have interactive displays for digital signage [like wayfinding].”
