Let me sell you on this reality show — in my opinion, one of the best in its class. Imagine your typical reality-cooking contest, but instead, the contestants are polite, good-humored, and intensely dedicated to their craft. It strikes that rare balance between soothing and enthralling, which is one of the many reasons it’s received so much buzz.

The AV business takeaway: Contestants deal with time constraints, are expected to deliver a certain tier of quality, utilize lots of reactionary problem-solving when minor catastrophes strike, and compete within an ever-tightening circle of competition.
