The overarching theme of this movie focuses on overall office dynamics and how leadership can sometimes be so disconnected from the staff that they don’t realize the guy they stopped paying is still coming to work every day even after he gets sent to the basement sans his Swingline stapler and he doesn’t get a piece of birthday cake and the guy who consultants view as the key to the whole operation would rather be anywhere but there.

The AV business takeaway: Of course, you don’t have any problems like this among your employees, right? Right? At least that movie has a happy ending where everyone realizes their mistakes and resolves them together though. — Craig MacCormack
