Panasonic’s Interactive Signage with Adidas

Panasonic teamed up with athletic wear company Adidas to showcase a neat digital signage solution for the retail market. Sensors beneath 4 kinds of Adidas sneakers tell when a shoe is lifted from the platform. Pick up one shoe, and the Panasonic display behind it will automatically show details of that specific sneaker. Pick up two shoes (seen above) and the program will compare the two.

It’s a different kind of interactivity, involving the actual product and not just pictures of it on a digital screen. Perfect for the retail market, or perhaps a learning environment, this kind of signage promises a high ROI for the end user.

Panasonic says it’s interactive signage allows “intuitive touch screen navigation for access to highly interactive, relevant and personalized content, flexible configurations and layouts, remote, cloud-based ability to update content on thousands of devices, and a wide selection of kiosks to fit any application.”
